Kona Bicycle Company was founded in 1988 by Jacob Heilbron "Jake the Snake", who originally founded Rocky Mountain Bikes, Dan Gerhard and early MTB racer and champion Joe Murray, who has since moved on to Voodoo Bikes.

Minxy is a country completely designed for a variety of off-road applications, such as cross-, Trekking, freeHorseback riding, downhill and North Shore Drive. full suspension increases comfort, control and efficiency to the wheels in contact with the track.
